Week 5 & 6 -Welcome to the world!
(7/9/11 - 7/22/11)
These past two weeks have been an "eye opener" for Violet, as in literally! She is staying awake more during the day and has even started trying to have some eye contact. Her eye contact is still few and far between and she tends to focus more on your whole head then necessarily your eyes but occasionally she will lock onto your eyes and keep her focus for quite some time. She is starting to smile a little but most of the time she smiles more at the mobile on her swing then us. But I know that her brothers didn't start consistently smiling at us until around 10 weeks, so we will wait and see.
Her sleeping is still the same........CRAPPY......... and of course she has gotten herself on a schedule that is completely opposite of her brothers (of course because Mommy doesn't need to have any sanity left!). She has decided that she wants to stay awake from about 1pm-4pm during the boys nap times so her and I are having some nice "TV" time together...she loves Dr. Phil! (GRIN)
These past two weeks she did have a hard time with just sitting, either in her swing, or her bouncy chair. So the Baby Bjorn was used a lot and Mommy got a nice kink in her neck from all of the holding since when ever she was awake she wanted held.
