Week 3 - Work with me here!!
(6/25/11 - 7/1/11)

So we are officially three weeks old, and although I have no expectations on sleep or eating at this stage in the game, I would however like Violet to work with me a little bit. She is eating about every hour to hour and a half and sleeps mostly during the day and will go 2 1/2 hours between eating during the day only to want to eat more often at night. The other thing that started this week is her "squeaking and grunting" while she sleeps. Andrew had this same problem and hopefully she will work through it soon enough. But what happens is that even when she is sleeping she is "talking in her sleep" which makes me think she is waking up or at the least keeps me awake since she is sleeping in a bassinet right near the bed.

Andrew has warmed up TREMENDOUSLY towards Violet and has started giving her kisses throughout the day. He has also moved from shouting at her through a megaphone from at least 5 feet away to now taking his chair and moving it over and watching her sleep in her swing. It is really quite cute. Jacob still holds her at least 3-4 times a day, helps me burp her, and helps with diapers (he is my wipe getter).

Overall life is pretty smooth considering I have an almost 4 year old, almost 2 year old, and a 3 week old! I have survived and it should start getting easier since she is packing on the pounds which should help her to go longer between feedings!
