(5/26/12- 6/1/12)
We have had some phenomenal weather lately so with Memorial Day weekend here, and 80+ degree days we have spent more time outdoors than indoors, so continuing my "get more pictures of Violet" theme we played outside and Violet got to show off her new sun shirt and shorts outfit (can't be too careful of the sun, and we don't want little baby skin to burn!). She loves, loves, loves water and splashes around in the water table on the deck multiple times a day. She didn't want in the kiddie pool with Jacob but enjoyed reaching over and splashing him with her hand and watching him over exaggerate falling in the water when she did so. We also went to the park this week with some friends and she enjoyed the swings and playing with some of the equipment there.
She fell off the couch this week because she loves to be up there with her brothers but also loves to crawl REALLY fast on the couch ( I think it is springy on her knees and she likes the sensation of the bouncing). Since we have an "L" shaped couch she turned the corner a little too soon and went right over the edge. After a few minutes of crying and having her pride hurt she was back up and bouncing around some more. One new thing this week is that multiple times I have seen her try and "walk" between the couch and the coffee table. There is about a two foot gap between the two. She isn't quite walking between but more spreading her feet wide and then falling from one to the other, but she gets the concept and I am sure walking between the two will be coming soon. Both of her brothers took their first steps between the couch and coffee table!
Less than two weeks until her birthday, I still can't believe it!
