Snow days! (Andrews first)
(January 2011)
We finally had our first measurable snow of the 2010-2011 winter season! Numerous storms have barely missed us this year and now we finally have one that dumped 10 inches of snow!
The boys were excited to see the snow when they woke up, and Andrew spent the first few hours of the morning standing at the windows and pointing and looking out. The past two winters Jacob has either hated the snow or enjoyed it (with hesitation) , but something told us that our now almost 3 1/2 year old would LOVE LOVE LOVE sledding this year and we were not disappointed!

We had a GREAT and FAST sled run in our side yard! The only hill we have we interrupted this summer by the new patio, but to our surprise the retaining wall for the patio made for a great bump/ramp that made the bottom of the hill fun and kept the ride going for longer! A lot of the cousins came over and played with the boys, built a fort, had a snowball fight, and built a small snowman!

This was Andrews first real snow, even though last years 40+ inches of snow will probably forever be the biggest snow of his life he was only 5-6 months old and won't remember a thing! This year we bundled Andrew up and after standing for about 2 minutes in the snow he turned around and proceeded to sit on my lap and watch the festivities from there for the rest of the time! He wouldn't touch the snow or walk in it! hehehehehehehehe. Hmmmmm....didn't I already post on that same thing with Jacob (
Jacobs first snow)

Finally by the third day Andrew did start enjoying it more and rode down the sled run with Caitlynn and smiled the whole way! And of course the boys really enjoyed the hot cocoa that we got to drink after each outdoor adventure!
