(12/31/11 - 1/06/12)
Well folks, there isn't much to say about this week except that the stomach bug was replaced with an upper chest/ nasal cold that is keeping Violet up ALL night. Her teeth are also contributing to the snottiness of her nose because she spends most of her day crying and it is really quite pitiful. Motrin has become our best friend and benedryl is helping with the runny nose a little and helping her sleep at night. Violet's temperment this week has been very clingy so my arms and back are screaming for this to be over so I don't have to hold a 20+ pound baby 24/7!
To add insult to injury her "social awareness" milestone has kicked in BIGTIME so every man that she sees (other than her father) makes her instantly cry (poor Uncle Ed). And with strange women she tolerates them a little more but will eventually realize that they aren't me and started whaling! My days of handing off the baby to anyone in the family is coming to an end. Luckily since I had her brothers go through this I know it won't last too long!
Violet was healthy for New Years eve though so got to party like a Corcoran until the wee hours of the night (10pm hehehehehehehe) but she flashed her pearly whites and loved being danced with in circles! One of her top front teeth has broken through and the other three are seriously swollen so we should have all four teeth in pretty soon!
