Week 1 - Welcome to the family Violet!
(6/10/11 - 6/17/11)
Violet Grace made her way into the world this week, and she was excitedly greeted by her brothers and many many cousins and family! She came into the world on June 10th, 2011 at 2:24pm, and weighed 7 lbs 10 oz, and was 21 inches long!
After two days in the hospital Paul, Jacob, Andrew, and Grandma Ruth came to the hospital to help us home! Jacob was very excited to see his "Baby Sister" and wanted to immediately hold her and kiss her. Andrew was a little more apprehensive and kept his distance for the first week.
Once home the sleepless nights started, but Violet is eating like a champ and was grown out of her newborn sized clothes within a week! Jacob will not call her Violet and will correct anyone that does call her Violet and inform them that her name is "Baby Sister", so it looks like Violet will take a back seat to "Baby Sister" for at least the immediate future!
